I want to get a Mac Mini as a XBMC HTPC solution. I will need an MS remote because I need the extra buttons to control directly many things and I suppose Mac's remote is not good enough.

My question is, can my MS remote work with Mac Mini's built-in IR receiver without the need of adding an external USB IR receiver?

I believe with the Remote Buddy app you can use it.
