Optimal video settings for Intel i3 3225...
#1
So, my XBMC is running well now.

Just trying to optimize my video but it's difficult with so many choices.

Is there suggested settings for my particular processor? Anyone with an i3 chip want to screenshot your settings so I can follow suit? I have no idea what anything means... deinterlacing, etc, etc, so I need some serious hand-holding.

Another thing, I changed everything to auto, but it sometimes makes my cartoons shakey during action shots... so that's primarily why I'm coming here... obviously I have 1080p stuff that I'd like to look nice as well though...

THANK YOU! for any help.

That guide is very difficult to follow for the amateur.
I too am looking for a summary of the best video settings for Intel iGPU's.
I heard that it's better to turn DXVA off but not sure why.

I have an I3 3225, same xbmc configuration as uNiversal,
and :

/etc/X11/xorg.conf

Section "Device"
Identifier "Intel Graphics"
Driver "intel"
Option "AccelMethod" "sna"
EndSection

To use sna -> http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=ar...2012&num=1

It works great.

Added to wiki http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=XBM...f_with_sna

If you could post a full xorg.conf and your TV info it would be great.

Thank you.
