The next release of XBMC is close and i would like to use (at least check) the new functionality that Frodo will present but there is one big problem - i have no clue of the hardware that is required. I have no idea which specs are important for a DVB tuner ('C). Any hits what is important?

There are 3 types of tuners but which is suitable for me - i have a media server (full tower) and Sapphire Edge HD3 Mini PC acting as client.

1. network tuner - like HDHomeRun. Are there others?
   
2. external (USB) tuner - what would be the diffrence compared to HDHomeRun?
   
3. internal tuner on the media server
   

As you can see i am complete noob so if you have something in mind that would help me please share your thoughts.
At the end i have 2 more questions

1. is it preferable to install tuners on powerfull PC, do they demand a powerfull PC at all?
   
2. is there any difference in the support - should i choose a tuner card based on the backend i intend to use? I ask because i still do not know which backend to use
   

If there are some articles that i can read please post a link because i wasnt able find anything related even in the wiki.
