I cannot see the error you are posting, but I too am getting a C++ runtime library error. It started after I decided to try out some other skins

Ok I hope this helps. I read somewhere that it might be a bad video file, so I set the option for XBMC to make a log file. then I scanned the log file for anything that dint look right, and I found this: 14:06:02 T:2956 DEBUG: CThumbExtractor::DoWork - trying to extract filestream details from video file E:\My Movies\Rock of Ages (2012) Extended 1080p\Rock of Ages (2012) Extended 1080p.mp4

I removed that video from my library, and no more error! Smile

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I guess I need to re-rip that movie

I too had a bad movie in library and after removing it all seems to work.

search, it was mentioned in previous threads. The movie in question contains double entries for chapters. clean those an it'll work. Those asserts are security related from within ffmpeg which we "can't disable" (nor want).
