Timeshift function XBMC and MythTV on Linux?
#1
I tried to find out which XBMC add-on supports timeshifting on a linux backend.
Mediaportal and FTR support timeshifting in Frodo but are windows based but what about MythTV.
I cannot find anything on the forums about timeshift support for XBMC on a MythTV backend.
Any information about that?

The MythTV addon supports the basic timeshifting features.
You can pause LiveTV (and forward, rewind).

I tested the features two weeks ago and there were still some problems in the UI (for example the current position indicator continued and didn't pause)
(Same behavior for MythTV and Mediaportal addons).

Oh and it's documented here: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=PVR/Backend

Thanks for the reply and links! Basic timeshifting is good enough.
I'm a Mediaportal user now, and want to migrate to a Linux solution, but it should do at least Timeshifting.
TVHeadend is not ready yet, and i think Timeshifting is not added to TVHeadend before Frodo is ready. MythTV is, and is more mature, but difficult :-(
