Thumbs Up
Hello,

I'm going to build system for xbmc and wanted to ask you about hardware choice, firstly I'm going to use xbmc linux or windows, It really doesn't matter which OS, and I want to use xbmc for 1080p videos and also I have lg 3d tv and want to watch some 3d movies also and some web based flash or html5 videos like youtube and streaming websites. Also I need optical 5.1 output support.

will this hardware be enough for all the things I want ?

mobo : gigabyte mini itx GA-H61N-USB3
cpu: Intel PENTIUM G860 3.0GHZ 1155PİN 3MB VGA850 BOX or Sandy Bridge Pentium G630, their price is close to each other.
ram; 4gb DDR3 ram
hdd :60gb sandisk ssd hdd

I will build case myself and what kind of power supply I need ?

thanks in advance

For 3D support you will need an Intel i3 CPU. Alternatively there are the AMD Llano or Trinity APU's, I recommend one of the A6 variants as a minimum, but you will have to also change the motherboard.

David
HTPC1: Intel Pentium G620, 4GB RAM, AMD HD6570, Samsung 830 SSD, Silverstone GD05 case.
HTPC2: AMD Athlon II X2 255, 4GB RAM, AMD HD5450, Western Digital HDD, Silverstone ML03 case.
HTPC3: AMD E350, 4GB RAM, AMD HD6310, OCZ Agility 3 SSD, Akasa Crypto case.
Media Server: i3-3220, 8gb RAM, WHS 2011, 8tb capacity, Fractal Design ARC Midi R2 case.

will it be possible to use with graphics card such as ZOTAC GF210 Synergy GDDR3 1GB 64Bit fanless or ASUS GT610 SILENT GDDR3 1GB 64BIT
or ZOTAC GT430 SYNERGY GDDR3 1GB 128BIT

For 3d, these might the cheapest newest all-in-one CPU's- Intel i3-3220 and AMD A6-5400K......for PSU, I'm recommending this fanless "picoPSU-120/10A 120W AC-DC" for it....
>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC
>Simplify XBMC configurations
>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!

I agree with bluray, but would prefer 3220t over a 3220 in a mini itx build.
