That's the XBMC log (also, it starts at 19:28:44). I wanted to see the System.log (from the Console app) at the exact moment XBMC freezes. From the XBMC log, I don't see anything that really stands out but I'm also not a XBMC dev. The System.log might have something that points to a problem outside of XMBC.

Let's run through everything that's been done.

Problem: XMBC crashing either when loading or when the screensaver has kicked in.

Troubleshooting steps tried that haven't fixed the problem:

• 32-bit version of XBMC
• Nightly version of XBMC
• Fresh OS X install with virgin XMBC folder and default settings
• XBMC 11 and XMBC 12
• Ran AHT and no problems found.
• Uninstalled 3rd-party Apple Remote driver

There isn't much left for you to try. You could get your hands on another Mac and try a virgin install of XMBC with your same peripherals. If it crashes, then it it would implicate something attached to your computer or bad sectors on your hard drive which AHT might have missed if you didn't do the long tests. But the above steps should've eliminated 99% of the crashes with XBMC.

Honestly, I'm perplexed. If you had a bad USB or video cable somewhere or a bad USB port, you would see crashes with other programs, but you don't. And Plex doesn't crash.

It's a goddamn mystery.

Really, at this point, given the heroic efforts you've made to troubleshoot this, I think you should just give up and run Plex. Like XMBC, it's a fantastic media center with some differences. It should be more than enough to serve you media-playing needs.
