Linux XBMCBuntu Beta 1 on ATV1 Patchstick
#1
I downloaded XBMC 12 Frodo Beta (XBMCBuntu) and installed to an ATV Bootloader. I have been working with various aspects of the install and have bumped my head on the following:

1) Crystal HD, after testing both the repo CrystalHD and installing from source, using this guide http://code.google.com/p/indicator-cryst...talHDHowTo , I never get any options for CrystalHD. It looks like CrystalHD is loading
dmesg | grep crystalhd
[ 10.836963] Loading crystalhd v3.10.0
[ 10.837013] crystalhd 0000:02:00.0: Starting Device:0x1612
[ 10.837034] crystalhd 0000:02:00.0: enabling device (0000 -> 0002)
[ 10.837051] crystalhd 0000:02:00.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 16
[ 10.840998] crystalhd 0000:02:00.0: irq 42 for MSI/MSI-X
[ 11.120656] crystalhd 0000:02:00.0: setting latency timer to 64

2) Audio over HDMI seems impoossible. First there is no more "custom" setting for audio. I have tried a number of posted solutions for Audio, then I installed the version from here https://launchpad.net/~wsnipex/+archive/xbmc-xvba , and the audio worked beautufully, and still no crystal HD support, but I would think it is possible that that version has no CrystalHD support

3) I have a number of DVD images on a NAS drive. These are not ISOs, rather folders with VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders inside them. I did not find a single of these images that played back without issue. I tested prior to adding CrystalHD hardware and drivers. In fact these DVD rips were very problematic after Eden which caused me to switch to a different XBMC repo for Eden where they worked (that was not on Apple TV bit linux with Nvidia 8400GS). The same files had worked flawlessly in Dharma. For the purposes of DVD rips XBMC seems to be digressing.

I am hoping that there might be some resolition to these issues, or whether someone knows of any solutions.
