This happens if signal is very bad and noisy. There is no picture (pixels only) and no audio. But there is problem with tvheadend. After a few minutes with so bad signal, tvheadend is completly dead. Tvheadend process is still running, but:
- no repsopnse to connect request via http
- no reponse to kill or killall command (impossible to kill or exit process).

The only way to make it working again is kill -9 (or killall -9) and run tvheadend again. Is this some kind of unexpected deadlock? Is this known issue? There are no problems when signal is good, but there is only need my next-door neighbours start using their cellphones to make my tv dead - I need to login via other shell and restart tvheadend to make it working again :/

approved .. long time ago ..

I opened a ticket a while ago (opdenkamps git) but it was closed since it couldn't be comprehended ?!? .. a lot of bug reports got closed even if they are very simply reproducible. For example xbmc crashes often if live tv is active and another transponder becomes active 'cause of timer settings (if there is only one tuner) .. simply closed due to inactivity of the bug reporter ... *rolleyes* ..

Hello,

It's good to see I'm not alone with this problem. I can believe it couldn't be comprehended when signal is good but I think this should be easy to reproduce. It's enough to start using cellphone (gsm, not umts/3g) next to your antenna (if you have indoor, not external antenna, this test should be easy to perform). Or any othher thing that causes big interferences and noise. And you will see tvheadend dead after max 2-3 minutes.

This should be treated as bug, because a lot of people don't have stable signal available. Can you confirm this bug (I'm talking to people from dev team now).

Any comments/tips? dushmaniac , adamsutton, anyone?
