I installed a minimal fedora to use as a htpc.
The system has a ati x1200 (rs690) videocard and I am using the opensource radeon driver.

There is no window manager so i just start xbmc with

>startx /bin/xbmc

Xbmc starts normally but the menu and video looks like this


For testing I also installed kde and here comes the strange part:
If I run kde, close kde and then run xbmc everything is fine.

I compared both the Xorg.0.log and the xbmc.log from before and after kde and they look identical (sequence differs a bit)

Does anyone have an idea what goes wrong?
If you want me to test something just ask, I can even reinstall everything if needed.
