It seems that the team has started nightly builds for Android.

Any additional info on when these builds will become available, or will 1 build (Frodo Final) be picked for Google Play release?

The simple answer is, we'll include an apk to sideload install when we feel pretty good about XBMC for Android not crashing unsupported Android devices. When it hits Google Play will be determined after we get to that point.
