Just set up using latest OpenElec distro. My media files are on an external hard drive on a separate laptop. Do I share using a Workgroup or SMB? For that matter, how do I access my drive in XBMC? Nope - can't find it in any FAQ. Found this:

If you want to share files from a Windows computer than that how-to is what you need to do. That's how you share files over the network to other devices.
