I am looking to finally build my first HTPC this christmas and since this is new game for me I wanted the help from some of you more experienced in this field.
Here is some of the hardware I am currently looking at purchasing
Case: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001H0B...gmgamzn-20
Motherboard: http://www.amazon.com/ASRock-Socket-Mini...gmgamzn-20
APU: http://www.amazon.com/AMD-A4-3400-Graphi...gmgamzn-20
I have 4 GB of RAM, and HDD, and Optical Drive from an old Dell Dimension desktop that I was thinking about using for my HTPC. For my OS I will be using Windows 7 (or 8 possibly).
I keep all of my media on 2 2TB WD MyBook external HDD's I have.
Please forgive my newbness but here are a few questions I have,
I am wanting my external HDDs to be networked to all PCs in my home but to be attached to my HTPC which will be always on. I would like to be able to watch my content wirelessly on any device in my house though.
Would I be able to comfortably connect my external HDDs (via USB) to this case?
Am I forgetting something?
Any advice and recommendations I highly appreciated from you guys
