XBMC prefered audio is french, gui language is english, movies are in .m2ts and raw blu ray folder format.
Is there a way to reset the "set as default setting for all videos" in case this would be overwritting the international setting? I did delete my userdata folder, which is where I think this is stored.
Thanks!
No need to re-post just because you didn't get a response within 13 hours. The prefered audio stream language functionality works fine for me but I only have MKVs to test. Furthermore if you've already watched those videos in xbmc it remembers the streams you watched last time and will use those independent of what you set as preferred audio language.
Hello Montellese, I did more test reguarding the prefered audio stream.
I started fresh by deleting the whole userdata folder (where the .db etc are).
Started XBMC and everything was vanilla, I then when in the international setting and choosed French as the prefered audio stream.
I then when and added my movie library through SMB:\\
When the library import finished, I went ahead and started to play a few of my movies.
In most cases the audio was English DTS.
An example of that is Madagascar 3, it came by default with:
English 8 channels (2/4),
When looking at other available stream there was:
French AC3 5.1 (1/4)
AC3 5.1 (3/4)
English AC3 5.1 (4/4) (that one is english with comments)
I tried Battleship, and Hop and they all came up in english.
A few with only 2 stream available with French as 1/2 and English as 2/2 came up fine and started playing in french.
Is there anything I can do to help you figure it out?
Secondly, it appear that the subtitle option is ON by default for all movies, the only way I found to disable it, is to turn if off and then apply that as the default for all video, however I am wondering if this would also apply everything else in the screen such as the audio stream. (Just to clarify I did not touch that when testing the stuff above).
Thank you
EDIT: I created a debug log here are the interesting parts, basically french (fra = francais) is #0:1, and it opens the audio stream #2:
