My wife was playing around with the ATV2 and decided to do a software update as she noticed there was one in the settings somewhere. (I had the script installed so it wouldnt auto update but I never thought she would just go in and do it herself)

The update failed and now the ATV2 just sits there with the Apple logo. Ive tried hard resetting but no luck. From what Ive read I have to restore it in Itunes.

But what Im woried about is it will restore to the latest version of IOS and I will not be able to then jailbreak it and re-isntall XBMC.

Appreciate some advice on how I can do this?

I'd try to run seas0npass again to see if that gets it back in service. It won't put a version on that isn't jailbreakable.

Well I took a guess on what IOS might now be installed on the AtV and used season pass to jailbreak the ATV again.
It didn't work the furst time. Got stuck in itunes running script so I had to use that IREB application and do a shift restore in ITunes.
All back to how it was before.
