Hello,
I'm looking for feedback from people using an ARM board for their server, as i plan to change my dual core Intel server soon.
My needs are (kind of special ^^) :
- linux compatible
- a pci slot for tv tuner
- a pci slot for pci-sata card
- 4 sata connection
- power efficient
It must be powerful enough so it can run : vdr, subsonic, samba, nfs, sabnzb and ssh.
Do you think it exists or must i wait a little more for Haswell device ?
Bibi

going to be hard pressed to find arm hw with pci/pic-e slots. you are better off using intel atom based hw.
MediaInfo : http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/ Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules. |

You may also consider an HP N40L MicroServer. Really nice (and cheap) but no pci slots: 1 pci-e 16x and 1 pci-e 1x, half height.
More infos here

ZyXEL NSA320
Only 2 drives, Armv5, No pci seems to have full linux support (Arch Linux) http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5/zyxel-nsa320 I would start from reading and posting on their forums http://archlinuxarm.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=27 |
