For sure is an obvious question, but... How do I edit/add tags to my photos with the plugin My Picture Database? Or is it necessary another program in order to do this?

Hello!
I want to use the My Picture DB plugIn too. I did not try it so far but as far as i know do you need to add the Tags by yourself with the help of other applications. Typically information is written into the EXIF data of .jpg image files. additionally are some other fields (EXIF, IPTC & XMP) available for location information, person names and so on. the EXIF data is only (as far as I know - correct me if I am wrong - google helps) for the settings information of the camera. So you can check all camera settings used for image generation - and of course the date and time is there.
As I would like to use this plugin also I was investigating (just started) a bit. What you can use is Picasa (http://picasa.google.com) to tag your images. In Picasa its possible to set person tags and more additional tags but unfortunately is the information of the person not written into the image (as tag info) but written into a internal Picasa DB. So I found the Windows app AvPicFaceXMPTagger (http://www.anvo-it.de/wiki/) to do this job (if someone knows a Mac OSX app please inform me!).
