Live TV doesn't work on Openelec [tvheadend server]

Yes, it's a firmware fix. Downloading start.elf/fixup.dat from here will fix it if you want to stick with gotham build:

Thanks but i"ll have to wait for next Gotham build cause the current dosn't run well on my Pi
Never seen it so slow before :/ Unusable.

Hi popcornmix,

replaced start.elf and fixup.dat on the latest gotham.

Seems to have sorted a/vsync

However live tv overall is more flaky - i.e channel switches are slower, video can stutter for first 10-15secs of changing channels.
When in preview video in background sometimes stops and stutters. Gui feels slower as well?

thanks very much for all the work - but guess you want as much feedback as possibleSmile

If it is of an use the previous build I mentioned feels a lot more solid ( 14704)

Confirmed: replacing start.elf and fixup.dat fixed the audio sync issue on LiveTV. Channel switching is somewhat slower though, but still very usable. Keep up the good work, it's much appreciated!

In my hunt for a 100% working build with Livetv/pvr and the rest of xbmc i tested http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1468727

Ok:
+Aspect ratio is ok!
+Audio offset, ok
+Channel change with numbers , ok !
+Subtitles on sdtv and hdtv, Ok !

Not ok:
-Live tv blackscreen , sometimes but not often.
-Live tv not starting on channel change and heads back to home Live tv/pvr meny happens when you go from a channnel with ac3 audio to a channel with mpeg audio
-Dvd meny navigation issues

So the hunt goes on Smile

Edit found when channel change/start issue happens, se above.

Can you please take a look at my log http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=39243
Its from this build in this post http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1468727

My problem is that channel change from a channel with ac3 audio to a channel with mpeg2 audio always fail.

So channel change from channel with audio:
Ac3->Ac3 , ok
Ac3->mpeg2, not ok
mpeg2->Ac3 , ok

If i stop playback first mpeg2, ok

I really need a file with the audio codec change in. Either from a recording, or using some muxing software to produce it
(I'm not sure if ffmpeg or mkvmerge, or any of the tools here:http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/272116-Edit-cut-MPEG2-TS can do this).

I' ve posted 2 diffrent samples from recording of one channel with ac3 audio and one with mpeg audio. And i'ts the live tv-channel change between the 2 tv-channels it fails. Not a audio codec change in a running tv-channel.
Haven't had that issue with Gotham build , only Frodo. But i'm looking for something working when Gotham have to many pvr bugs thats working in Frodo

If it would help, and if you have fast internet i could give you access to my Tvheadend server so you can view live-tv and se whats happening Smile

Ok popcornmix what I did was download the short movie clip to my linux computer copy it to a usb drive and still was a no go with any openelec build so I pop raspbmc back in there and work like a charm so I google around found a post from a while back where someone removed the config.txt and I did the same put made my own like the one in raspbmc and boom both video play on all the 256mb and 512 mb Pi .so my question they must be something in the Openelec config,txt that does allow live ota strm to play even If each pi has right codec keys.Just sharing my finding again thanks . Ok got it now I had to remove the + from each line i add some to thanks popcornmix.

@popcornmix, now this issue have made its way into Gotham as well !
Just tried rbejs latest Gotham build from here http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1477148

I´m willing to let you use my Tvheadend server to debug this if it helps you?

Good to see it finally works. I didn't experienced any serious issues. The only thing left to fix is aspect ratio problem. "Normal" aspect ratio still works incorrectly. I need to set 16:9 or 4:3 to get video displayed as should.

I had the same problem and tried several versions and settings to get PVR working with my tvheadend running on my synology box. Since yesterday the setup is working with the latest FRODO version from rbej. In addition to the update I also removed my databases and the advancedsettings as well as the guisettings. I replaced the advancedsettings with the file provided by rbej and it finally worked. Not sure if an old setting caused the problems.

Are we talking rbej Frodo or Openelec 3.1.5 ?
