Mobile XBMC Smile

D-Link 7 port powered Hub
Raspberry Pi in a Pi Slice Case
Freecom XXS 1 TB USB 2 Disk
Micro BT Keyboard

2 profiles on it, 1 for the local disk with a selection of 720p, 1080p and 3D 1080p movies, and 1 networked for my MySQL database and NAS setup

Ignore the elastic bands, just wanted something to hold it all together Tongue

Still got to take decent pics of my main setup, but thought you would all like a laugh at this ...
QNAP TS670 NAS - 4x4TB Raided with NFS Support & Central MySQL DB
Pi 3 [Xbian] - Samsung 46" ES7000 Smart TV & HT-E5550 3D BD Sound System
Pi 3 [Xbian]  + Hyperion Ambilight- Samsung 48" Curved UE48JS9000 4k

Great compact set-up!
I am planing for a long time on doing this exactly like you (including the elastic bands Big Grin ). How is the pi performing with the external hd? Have you installed any download client (nzb, torrent) on the pi? If yes, how is that impacting the performance? Is the setup heating up a lot? I was worried that stacking them like that might heat up the pi.
New apartment, new TV, recent convert from Win7MC.

Where did you source the nice short usb cables for your setup nsviper?
Smitty, what are the stats on your system +skin? I'm really loving the wide angle shot.

hey it's great! how're you getting live tv there? without a tv tunner...

Here's mine. Nothing special. Receiver and HTPC (Ubuntu 12.10) is behind the wall, which is a closet.

Love, love love the new design of the XBMC remote app for the iPad. Many Thanks to everyone that helped with this software. Cool

Here is a picture of the equipment behind the wall.
