Are there any parental controls in XBMC? Perhaps requiring a password to open things over PG-13 or over Rated R (or whatever the international standards are)? Otherwise, being able to self assign ratings?

A few ways to do this. One is to use
Profiles (wiki) and basically have two different libraries. Profiles can be password or pin protected. Another way is to use the
master lock (wiki) on sources, and make a file source for just certain movies and have that source use a password or pin. There's a few other ideas/methods floating around there on the forums too.
