Bug Favorites do not refresh
#1
Example: Enter Revision3 add-on and navigate to show Hak5. Each menu and sub-menu of the add-on results in a little "working" ring in the bottom right. After adding a show to favorites and subsequent selecting of the show from the favorites menu (say a week later when there are new episodes), the "working" ring never appears and the new shows are not displayed.

This is reproducible in more than just the Rev3 add-on.

Tested on RPi with OpenELEC 2.95.5 (Frodo RC1).

Does anyone else here have the same problem? I opened a bug ticket on github, but was told to come here instead.

I'm currently running xbmc 12.2 on Raspbmc and wondering if this bug is still present in the latest builds. This bug is a pretty big pet peeve for me and I would love a little help tracking it down if it's not already fixed.

Using the OP as an example I grabbed logs from xbmc.log.

Entering the Hak5 subdirectory from the Revision3 Add-on:
Code:
17:07:37 T:2225157184  NOTICE: Thread XBPyThread start, auto delete: false
17:07:37 T:2225157184  NOTICE: -->Python Interpreter Initialized<--
17:07:41 T:2225157184  NOTICE: CommonFunctions-2.5.1
17:07:48 T:2225157184  NOTICE: Thread Background Loader start, auto delete: false

Entering the Hak5 subdirectory via Favorites:
Code:

Doesn't sound like a Pi specific issue. Could you try the same test with xbmc on another platform (e.g. windows) using gotham beta 2?
If that has the same problem, then report the issue here:

Thanks Popcornmix for your feedback,

I reported this issue, right now to force a refresh you have to restart xbmc.

That's why it's more apparent in an always on device like Raspberry pi.

Thanks
