Error with latest XBMC : OMX.broadcom.video_decode failed
#1
Hi,

First I'm using latest Raspbmc with latest nightly build (21 december).

For now I can't use RC5 in my everyday use because I have lots of problem when viewing RTSP stream from my ISP (Free in France).

The RTSP stream I use contain SD H264 stream and AAC audio.

After a while Xbmc freeze (sometimes with a black screen, sometimes with Xbmc backgound and no menu) and the log is like that :

Code:
06:13:40 T:2844914704  NOTICE: COMXPlayer::OnExit()
06:13:40 T:2844914704  NOTICE: OMXPlayer: closing audio stream
06:13:40 T:2844914704  NOTICE: Closing audio stream
06:13:40 T:2856330256  NOTICE: thread end: OMXPlayerAudio::OnExit()
06:13:40 T:2844914704  NOTICE: OMXClock using video as reference
06:13:40 T:2844914704  NOTICE: OMXPlayer: closing video stream
06:13:40 T:2844914704  NOTICE: Closing video stream
06:13:40 T:2796004368  NOTICE: thread end: video_thread
06:13:42 T:2844914704   ERROR: COMXCoreComponent::WaitForCommand OMX.broadcom.video_decode wait timeout event.eEvent 0x00000000 event.command 0x00000002 event.nData2 130
06:13:42 T:2844914704   ERROR: COMXCoreComponent::SetStateForComponent - OMX.broadcom.video_decode failed with omx_err(0x80001000)

I tried adding some swap (I have a Raspberry Pi with 256Mo of RAM) without any luck.

I tried dumping 30 minutes of the RTSP stream in a .mp4 and I was never able to reproduce the problem with that sample.

Raspbmc RC4 does not have this problem.

What else can I do to help ?

Thanks in advance.

What do you have gpu_mem set to? 256 is recommended on Pi2.

Thank you for your reply.
gpu_mem_1024=256
gpu_mem_512=144
gpu_mem_256=100

is my /boot/config.txt
As it seems, it is set to 256 as I have 1 gig of mem on RPi2.
