Audio issue with some files
#1
Sad
So I've been looking everywhere to find what would be causing this issue but I can't find any help with fixing it....

Every now and again when I start some files (all tv shows or movies) I get this loud screeching noise and then I lose all audio and sounds from XBMC. It doesn't do it with all files but it seems to do it on the same ones... Which common sense would tell me that the file is corrupt or something but then if I go straight to the file and use my VLC viewer the video will play fine with no audio problem. So it seems to be something with XBMC itself??
Has anyone else experienced this issue? I tried to download the newer version of XBMC and it hasn't fixed it..

sounds that you have ac3/dts capable receiver turned on but your receiver doesn't support the decoding of those. Or your speaker setup in xbmc is wrong (e.x. 5.1 and you only have 2 speakers which would mean 2.0).
