Greetings,

Oh man, I am really frustrated. And really new at this.

I installed the Broadcom CrystalHD decoder card in my ATV1 running SBMC v11 Eden

I have been scraping the internet to find a straight forward tutorial on how to install the drivers I downloaded from broadcom.

I have tried ssh-ing into my ATV, but for some reason it does not accept the password.

So I would like to SSH (with cyberduck - which I do know how to do) into the ATV and copy/past the files/folders into the right place to get my ATV!/XBMC to recognize the Broadcom chip.

Is there a way to do this easily? Or did I wast 50 bucks on the Boradcom chip.

However, I would strongly suggest installing Crystalbuntu (wiki), which as the name suggests, comes with the drivers already configured. I run two ATV1s with BCHD and love them to death with Crystalbuntu. I get full 1080 video output and a very snappy/responsive GUI. You can even install Crystalbuntu on a USB drive and leave the internal installation untouched .
