I split the thread from Aeon Nox 3.6.1 mod :

So I mod Live DVD Case background and Showcase view to :
- display BD/DVD or clear case with resolution logo (Live DVD Case, thanks to Fmronan for moving cases to see all resolutions)
- open manually or automatically the case and display the DiscArt
- not display case for movieset in order to provide my own picture

How to install patch file :

- unzip file
- copy subfolders 1080i and media into Aeon Nox root directory (overwrite existing folders)

Add/Mod in XML files :

modifications are between <!-- MikeBZH44 start --> and <!-- MikeBZH44 end -->

Versions :

1.4 : Aeon Nox 4.0.9 compatibility + rolling disc
1.0.1 : Case won't display for current movie when coverflow is OFF
1.0.0 : Initiale

How to open the case :

To open case and display disc art, set Show CDArt option to ON in Showcase view settings.

Case opening is linked to infopanel display so :

* Infopanel = ON : case open immediatly, disc roll into it, stay open 3 sec more and close
* Infopanel = MANUAL : case open when press UP to display info panel, disc roll into it, stay open 3 sec more and close
* Infopanel = DELAY : case open when info panel slide (delay is inherit from info panel setting), disc roll into it, stay open 3 sec more and close
* Infopanel = OFF : case don't open

CAUTION : For Albums view with coverflow OFF, disc art cannot be displayed so case will always open and default CD disc will roll

In order to display CDart in album views, settings have to be done in Aeon Nox :

thanks mate this is awesome. the only probem i use custom disc.pngs and the mod doesnt seem to pick them up anymore, only seems to work through artwork downloader which doesnt let you select your own disc art

there is no case that get open, i see imaditaly the cd cover.

this mod will break lot lot of the newer stuff, i wouldn´t recommend to copy and paste those files into our newest GIT version.

How can I do it in github ?

Do I have to fork your skin ? And then mod the files ? And after every commit from you, I will have to make a diff ?

Or I can simply wait to AE4.0 final release and make the mod.

everywhere. c&p your files into our latest GIT and look at the diff.

I won´t explain in detail how GIT works here, that would take too much time.
either read up some tutorials or ask fmronan, he was able to clone and stay up-to-date.

Yes but he spend a lot of time to check every of your commits and I work on the mod at work and github is forbidden by the proxy.

So I will wait for the final release on the repository.
