Frodo, local Covers/Thumbnails and mySQL DB
#1
Question
Hello,

I just learned that Frodo will handle the Thumbnails/cache a bit differently which I am happy about. (From the Wiki: "The art URL's associated with library items are stored in the art table inside the video or music databases. These store the original URL to the art (e.g. from http://themoviedb.org, http://thetvdb.com, or http://theaudiodb.org). This means that central databases store where the art is obtained from, and multiple clients then just keep a local thumbnail cache as described below.)
I run a server with all my media and the mySQL db on it. For all my movies (~2000) I manually created a cover the way I like it. Same goes for TV show posters and season posters (~200 shows). So will the table be able to store the URL of my local server rather than moviedb, tvdb, etc?

So related to this I have a question: If my original URL is a local file on my server will it still work?

Second question: I currently use Dropbox and symlinked "Thumbnail" folders to have all my Eden clients use the same thumbnails. only one of my clients does the scraping. If I want to upgrade from Eden to Frodo do I first need to remove the symlinks and have all the Thumbnails as local files on every client?

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere already, I wasn't able to find a definite answer.
thanks in advance,
SM

XBMC will store the networked art path for those, so it will still work. Remove the sym links and XBMC should recreate the thumbs folder with local thumbnails using the local network image urls stored in the DB.
