Step Forward/Step Back broken in PVR?

AFAIK, seeking in the TS buffer is not yet very accurate - so it could happen that on small skip steps the seek could end up at current position

There are additional fixes for this in current master but not in Frodo.

I realize this may be unstable, but from a from a fresh install of Xbmcbuntu (Frodo), how do I upgrade Xbmc and addons to the current master (which is v13 Gotham alpha, correct?)?

Is this not easily do-able? Or maybe it's so easy I should be able to figure it out myself?

Any idea if this can be ported to a minor update for Frodo, i.e. 12.2? Or does it depend on many other commits?
