Is there a way i can get a new login screen on windows 7, so when i boot the laptop, i get a nice gui presenting if i want to login to windows 7 or xbmc.

i have windows 7 and xbmc installed on the pc

is this possible

It is possible by creating a GUI and setting it as shell. You can try any application launcher tools as the GUI. Upgrading to Windows 8 is the best option. Just use the metro start and set desktop and xbmc as the only apps.
