Youtube fixes and hacks
#1
Warning, installing these fixes may brake the youtube add-on beyond your ability to repair.

Do not post any questions about this in the official thread as it is completely unsupported.
The best approach is to wait for an official release.

With all respect to the developers, as we can see in the official thread a hotfix fast track is needed.
The current discussion really kills that thread and I am sure annoys the developers.

Instead of listening to endless questions from users that are not skilled enough to deploy a patch manually lets just publish.them here.

I am sure this will create new issues so lets be careful.

1) Please separate repository "nightlies" from manual fixes
2) Keep the version numbers on manual fixes to allow them to be overwritten by the next release
3) Be very aware that an installed nightly could block the next official release. Depending on the respective version number.
I have not verified this perhaps there is a safety mechanism that will take care of this. Perhaps there is a workaround for this, I have no time to test.

Unoffcial parsedom 1.4.0 release fixing the New year 2012/2013 issues in Eden. (youtube completly broken).

Downloaded from http://hg.tobiasussing.dk/hgweb.cgi/comm...bae7630ede

Please be aware that installing this could potentially block the installation of a real version 1.4.0 that may differ from this unoffical zip.

I applied the unofficial 3.4.0 to my Linux Mint 12, Frodo rc2, installation and they restored the ability of the YouTube plugin to login successfully (single factor authentication).

Upgraded to Frodo rc3 and YouTube plugin continues to function as per rc2.

Ok, the beta worked for me on openelec rc1. Make sure you install in the correct order.

Anyway I think they have released a new official version.

The YouTube plugin on my Frodo rc3 claims itself to be "4.4.1" presumably after an auto-update. Seems to work OK.
