Yes, done that but no adapter appears for me to select.

edit - That's weird .... tvheadend reports itself as version 3.2.18 using the browser interface but 1.6 something on the actual box itself.

Would it be worth trying pulling the Hauppauge tuner card out, starting the box & run it for a while, then put the card back in to see if it gets detected?

How about I try the 'Generic OSS build' version?

Look if your problem is with openelec then maybe you should be in their forums. tvheadend is not part of xbmc. You could also try the tvheadend forums.

I don't know enough about the whole thing to know what problem is what sorry.
I've also started a new thread in the tvheadend forum as well. Hardly anyone in the OpenELEC forum seems to want to help unfortunately.
Thanks for trying to help so far.

Sorry for the late reply - yes I have fiddled with all of that.

This guy reckons the card should work -

Your tuner card seems like it should work. Get it working under Linux and you're golden.

I've got pretty much zero experience with Linux, is it possible to make it work using his link?

Thanks, but I've given up and am going to have to put Windows on the box.
I'll keep an eye out for any progress on Linux supporting the tuner card and if that happens I'll try again.
