Acces data on my laptop [solved]
#1
Hi,

I just installed raspbmc on my pi and my aim was to access my library on my laptop (trough lan or wifi) it's running ubuntu 12.10 . The thing is I don't really know wich keyword I have to use to find what i want or if it's even possible regarding the configuration.

Any help would be welcome Smile

ps: i've a second question i' souhld probably post it in an other tread but if someone passing know how to solve it: my tv screen is a 1240x7XX and when i connect a laptop or the pi with the hdmi cable there is a zoom on it, is it a configuration to change on the computers ? because i don't find anything on the tv menu.

pps: english is my native language sorry for all the mistake

Start by reading this wiki page: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=File_sharing
If your laptop is also running XBMC (and has all its local media scanned into its own library), then see this simpler solution: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW...using_UPnP

Try video calibration: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Settings/System
