OS screensaver not turning on
#1
Over the weekend I upgraded my xbmc from Eden to Frodo on my iMac.

Quick background I have my iMac hooked up to my tv via hdmi and run xbmc on the tv while main desktop is running on iMac screen. What I noticed after the upgrade is that now if I leave xbmc running idle in the background on the tv my OS's screensaver will not trigger on the primary screen like it would before under Eden.

Anyone else notice this?

I believe this is expected behavior (XBMC is lord and master when full screen), but there are some ideas about how to handle this in different ways for people who do want the OS screen saver to kick in. Won't go in for v12 Frodo, but maybe after.

Okay. Guess i'll have to learn to deal with it.

Was nicer before since now in addition to the screensaver not triggering it also doesn't trigger my my iMac screen to go to sleep if frodo is idling doing nothing. Eden would do this for me.

XBMC should still be able to put your display to sleep within the XBMC settings. Settings -> System -> Power savings
