Library new file adding issues
#1
Over the time I've been using XBMC, I've usually been able to figure out how to get movies to be scraped and added to my library with correct titles and version.

Tonight there are three videos I have not been able to add.

Family Guy Blue Harvest (DVD rip using MakeMKV)
Family Guy Something Something Something Darkside (DVD rip using MakeMKV)
AC/DC Family Jewels Disc 1 (DVD rip using MakeMKV)

I have tried changing the titles, in the case of the two Family guy titles, removing and adding the "Family Guy" in the title, adding in "presents" between "Family Guy" and the movie title, as in "Family Guy presents Blue Harvest", adding in and removing the date, moving to my TV Shows folder and using that scraper, but these two titles are completely ignored, even after several attempts to add them. They don't even show up as a wrong title, like I've had to deal with when adding some movies. Also, Family Guy It's a Trap shows up just fine, using themoviedb.org scraper.

I haven't tried too much with the AC/DC Family Jewels Disc 1 to get it to add so far, but plan to try more to resolve that. FWIW, Disc 2 of that set adding without issue, and plays fine.

Other ideas?
I've glanced at some threads in the past that suggest in adding "home movies" in different ways, am I going to need to do something along those lines?

--==EDIT==--

Using Eden on remote client. Files are stored on my main PC/server. Remote client is running Windows 7 x64 Home edition, and only has XBMC installed, used as an HTPC.

Well, I've been able to get AC/DC Family Jewels Disc 1 to show up, by removing anything to indicate that it is disc 1.

Naming: "ACDC Family Jewels 2005" I was hoping that there would be someway in the library to indicate disc 1 or disc 2, but this will at least work for now, unless there is a way to edit the name or media info to indicate which disc is which.

Still no luck with the Family Guy titles.

Ideas?

What are the exact filenames and where is your log?

I've tried several variations

Blue Harvest
Family Guy Blue Harvest 2007
Blue Harvest 2007
Family Guy Presents Blue Harvest
Family Guy Presents Blue Harvest 2007

I didn't think a log would be applicable here, since there were no error pop ups, just the "Scanning for new content" and then it closes, like it would if there was no new content.

Well xbmc will not recognise any of those as videos as they do not have a file suffix like .avi or .mkv which signal that they are video files.

I have the file extension hidden, in folder options. I only un-hide them when I need to make a specific change to a file extension, such as trying to modify a file for some reason (such an HTML project when I was working on a school project). I prefer to keep the file extensions hidden, so that I don't accidentally change the file extension when I only want to edit names of files or folders.

Besides all 600+ other movies, which share a similar naming convention (for the most part, only a few exceptions where a different convention was needed) have no problem being recognized by XBMC, with the file extension being hidden.

I'm trying to figure out where to locate a log file and what to do with it, so far I can locate the file(s), but not sure which to grab, or what part would need to be posted.

Are you adding them as movies or as episodes? I know some of the Family Guy ones (star wars) can be listed under both default scrapers.

I've tried both movies and TV shows. Currently the two that I'm having issues with, Blue Harvest and SSS Darkside, are in my TV Shows folder.

I've been able to add the two Family Guy movies as TV episodes as suggested by another member, not how I wanted it, but it'll work.

I'm now having an issue with another movie.

Super Speeders 6 - Flat Out.

I have tried the following naming formats:

Super Speeders 6 - Flat Out (2011)
Super Speeders 6 Flat Out (2011)
Super Speeders 6 - Flat Out
Super Speeders 6 Flat Out
Super Speeders 6 (2011)
Super Speeders 6
Super Speeders 6 - Flat Out () (themoviedb.or doesn't show a year for this particular Super Speeders offering)

I have even tried renaming to "Super Speeders 3" and many of it's variations, just to see if that would work, and it doesn't. It seems that only Super Speeders 5 is scraped, which is listed first on themoviedb.org when a search is done for Super Speeders. I also renamed it Se7en (1995) which was picked up right away, obviously not the right information, but that proves the file is there, and can be seen.

Eden, Universal Scraper pointed to themoviedb.org. SMB share, Windows 7 (Both Client and server), wired network (100).

This is getting frustrating, so any ideas you have would be great.
