There is still a fair bit of user having issues with DXVA2 hardware decoding, including myself.

For me it's having macroblocking issues on (Frodo/Win8/Nvidia GT640).

I went through the code a bit (remote debugging) and there was no apparent issue being logged or going into error handling code.

I'm wondering if anyone have some experiance with that code and know any good area to look for, as well as a way to get more diag info from the DirectX api or the GPU itself as of why there is picture quality issues.

I'll continue digging in the meantime.
