Question  Short search terms (e.g. FTP) Post: #1
I have found a problem with FTP sources in Linux Frodo RC3 but cannot do a search for existing threads because of the 4 character limit.
I appreciate some people will use 'the' etc. but it is causing quite a problem here.
Does anyone have a suggestion?

I just use google by including "site:forum.xbmc.org". I think we even talked about maybe doing that for the forum search bar. We did it for the wiki since google did such a better job at indexing that.

You can make easy links to the XBMC wiki using double brackets around words: [[debug log]] = debug log, [[Add-on:YouTube]] = Add-on:YouTube, [[Adding videos to the library]] = Adding videos to the library, [[userdata]] = userdata, etc

problem is that the mysql fulltext search index requires min 4 letters IIRC - that's why this limit is there - it's not like this on our own will.
