hdmi-cec support on linux (debian)
#1
Hi,
It seems that HDMI-cec is not supported by XBMC (http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Remote_controls ) whereas Raspberry version like openelec has it. Why ?

Also, if you choose to build xbmc, cec option seems to be possible and uses libcec library ( rpi-cecd for raspberry )

So is it possible to have cec on linux with hdmi ouput ?
How long is the compilation ?

On radeon (linux) frodo version uses vpa accelaration instead of xvba, why ?
Thanks

XBMC supports CEC if you get a USB-to-CEC adapter, since no on-board or GPU HDMI port supports it directly. That Remote controls page hasn't been updated, as it clearly states at the top of the page.

xvba builds are available. See Linux FAQ (wiki)
