Hi,

I'm looking for a way to strore and manage my metadata outside from xbmc.
Here are the main reasons:

- I need centralized solution for multiple htpc clients
- I don't want xbmc to wake up all my drives (gathered with drivepool) on library startup update
- I'd prefered a service/watchdog solution that update the library when media files are added/deleted (and xbmc is not running)

I read a few posts about using MySQL but it don't store fanart.
And I don't find anyway to update it, except from xbmc.

Is there any solution?

Nope. There's pretty much just MySQL for having a metadata DB outside of XBMC.
