Hi. A newbie asking for advice.

Just installed XBMC on my Windows laptop. When I try to configure Weather with my closest large town the script fails. When I try to access 1channel or Sports Devil they fail to load latest updates. Checked network setting and it says it has internet connection.

Have XBMC on a Raspberry Pi also on the same network and no problems.

Any advice?

Welcome to the XBMC forums.

If you have the setting "Use an HTTP proxy to access the internet" enabled, try disabling it.
Eden: System/Settings > Network > Internet access
Frodo: System/Settings > System > Internet access
