Congrat! You can't compare Pi to 2105, because it's in different league.
>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC
>Simplify XBMC configurations
>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!

This.

Nice build, I've built two HTPC's with that case and love the price/design. That mobo only has 2 SATA ports though right? I hope your using an SSD also, SO much better for boot times and loading XBMC.
HTPC: ASRock B75M-ITX LGA | Intel i-3 3.3GHZ | 4GB | Samsung SSD + WD 2TB x2

Just curious, what did you use for a hard drive? Also what was your total build cost?

Hack mini, very cool. I also recently made a similar transition from ATV2 to an a6-5400k HTPC. The size of the ATV was great and playback was good but I love all the other stuff you can do with the more intensive skins and add-ons that the HTPC has the power to handle.

Actually not using a SSD just got a 320GB Western Digitial Blue drive. 7200rpm with a 16MB Cache. Total build set me back around $340 which isnt too bad. I will look into a small SSD for OS and XBMC and use that hard drive for movies and what not. Its a start.

interesting little hackintosh build. And everything works as it should? Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but can you just purchase the $30 OS X and install that? Did you follow any hardware compatibility guides?

Purchased OSX from app store on my mac then created a bootable usb and ran it from there. Used Multibeast which has most drivers already in there. I just had to edit a few kext files to get hdmi audio to work. Its all new to me but runs flawlessly.

very cool, thanks for that. I think I will definitely look into this for my next build, I prefer OS X over Windows but don't really care to pay the Apple premium

Actually doin a little case Modding now. Was going to put a picopsu but for now just moving the psu to the front of the box below the harddrive. Cutting a hole so the psu fan can push the air out. Right now the psu is just touching the CPU fan. This should help with temps but they werent bad before just rather let it breath a little more.
