"ODROID-U2" = fastest miniPC for xbmc on the market?

Decent legal sites offering video streaming are very US centric, outside of the US the distribution of rights is more chaotic and in a lot of cases is simply not available so you can mostly forget about streaming the latest movies and tv shows although it is improving.

Many of us have spent years building up large video & music collections at home by ripping dvd's, blu-ray's, cd's etc to HDD in a PC, Server or NAS, and wish to playback this media in a rich GUI environment that looks good on the TV and is easy for all the family to use.

The U2 is pretty nice and fast, the development for it is slow compared to phones though. I am able to watch 720p content on mine but XBMC will crash occasionally or it will just stop playing the video and go back to the menu.

Doubtful. They're also slower than the ODRIOD line.

I'm quite pleased with XBMC on ODROID U2.
It can play 1080p with no sweat. Don't have any major issues, and it is very powerful.
Here are my XBMC stats here on the U2: http://adolin.zapto.org/xbmc/ and here you have the CPU load: http://adolin.zapto.org/cpu/
XBMC running and it's mostly idling Smile

Is there support for HDMI passthrough for multichannel audio (ac3,DTS) by now? Last time I tried I couldn't get it to work.

As I understand it (I could be wrong), It cannot yet running android but under linux it should be able to after installing PulseAudio. Can anybody confirm this? I want to make sure of this as well before buying a U2.

Edit: http://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?f=...=40#p16037 It appears passthrough does not work yet in either linux or android.
