Bug xbmc.subtitles input bug

XBMC doesn't pass Movie/Episode Title in Hebrew to the subtitle add-on, just an empty string:

Post a full debug log please:

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1055030

An excerpt is not enough to trace the bug.

its sort of a known issue, we use "encode('ascii','ignore')" to clean the title string, we need it to be ascii so that we can send it to services.

one thing we can try to fiddle with is "original title" label but I need to check what xbmc does in case that is not set.

Amet, this will be the default behavior from now on? Because I have a function in the LegendasTV service that do just that, but with JSON, so I might slash it to avoid duplicating the same task. Maybe the services maintainers could choose between the original title and the localized one, as some sites may require that to work properly.

yes, this is in to stay... if you need translated title then use xbmc.getInfoLabel("VideoPlayer.Title") ... I think that shoudl work for most.... thoughts?

No, that's fine for me. Next time I change the service code I'll remove the now redundant function.

Thanks a lot!
