I have my music on a smb share on my laptop. I have it set so that I can view the files in the share, and they have been added to my library. When I goto the music folder its just viewed in file list view, which is very unattractive!
How do I force it to open library view. In the file list view i cant open the left popout menu so cant change view settings

You should be able to open the side menu to toggle library mode, but since you cant do that you can just access the main menu music submenu and choose artists or albums or another library entry to open the music library.

ok got it now.
however, it doesnt seem to be downloading atwork etc automatically. about 3 out of 15 albums have been done correctly. i have run them through a tag/renamer programme to make sure they are correct. im using the universal artist scraper..

Most artwork(logos, etc) are not done by the scraper, but by cdArt Manager addon.
