i think i also still have a problem with 1.37

i'll be a little more specific:

some trailers work, others don't.

for example: "13 going on 30" works fine, but hardly any of the new or opening week trailers work ("king kong" doesn't work, for example)

i've bypassed the size selection by setting it to select the large size by default.

also, i the "exclusive" category is empty, but i guess that's because it's been removed or something...

it's still a nice script though Smile

bye

for all you that have problems:

remove all quicktime browse stuff from scripts
redownload 1.37
reinstall

i downloaded version 1.37, put it in a new folder in the scripts folder. tested it, then removed the old folder and renamed the 1.37 folder (so my shortcut in the scripts menu would point to it). seems to me that means i made a clean install of the script...
or should i remove other stuff as well?
i also copied the pil folder to the python folder.

but as i said, some trailers work, others don't. Sad

i'm having the same issue. all my other scripts work fine but with quicktime 1.37 it'll load the list of movies, when i select one it asks for small/medium/large. it'll start like it's going to load and cache, but then just exits back to the list of trailers.

i've tried reloading the script but nothing.

i keep my scripts in f\apps\xbmc\scripts\quicktime but none of my other ones work at all.

any help would be appreciated. i tried reloading them and deleting and reuploading the lib folder in the python directory as well.

exactly the same problem, i've uninstalled and installed 1.37 many times now and still the same problem.
some people are reporting that some of the trailers work and some don't....none of them have worked for me.
also my xbox freezes everytime without fail when i try and exit the script!

anyone?

the newer problem seems to have something to do with mplayer because its mplayer stopping the download of the movie.
maybe quicktime is broken atm? don't know.

using mplayer dev-cvs-050626-17:02-3.4.2 on my pc with the url everything plays fine.

apple has done some changes again :|..

i found out that:
while the quicktimebrowser script are getting the mov url:
Quote:http://movies.apple.com/405/us/media/tra...h.i640.mov
this first mov file is only 136bytes.

the real trailer has the url:
Quote:http://movies.apple.com/405/us/media/tra..._h640w.mov
this plays off nicely on xbmc Smile

ok. i found out how to fix this at the moment..

you have to edit the quicktimebrowser.py script at line 490
this is the default script
Quote: if sel != -1:
link = movie.getmov(sel)
change/add to:
Quote: if sel != -1:
link = movie.getmov(sel)
link = link.replace("h.i320", "h320")
link = link.replace("h.i480", "h480")
link = link.replace("h.i640", "h640w")
link = link.replace("_240.mov", "_m240.mov")
link = link.replace("_320.mov", "_m320.mov")
link = link.replace("_480.mov", "_m480.mov")
the 3 last lines ^ added oct. 27. and may get some more streams to work. /bd64

this works for me :d .. now i can watch the trailers again!!

sounds like the first file is a playlist file, surely this isnt news either to mplayer or quicktimebrowser

seems to be ok now!

cheers!

only thing that needs fixing now is xbmc freezing up if you choose to exit the script before a video has finished streaming/downloading!
