Aeon MQ 5 ?
Not really. I mean that rather than having add-on ‘widgets’ below each heading (like confluence), why not add them to the sub menu instead.

So, for example, if you usually have YouTube under your movies headings, add it to the movies sub menu instead.

Yeah this is either wrong or just confusing!!

I create a new empty slot I changed its type to 'my menu 1'.
So now I can rename it and add video add-ons ; this works they appear!

I then go to the next empty slot; and must use my menu 2?

So I can only have 2 custom menu slots with icon able apps?

Is this correct??

Hmmmmmm!
Editing the very first item 'Movies'
I rename it; go left to add video add-ons ; but they won't add i.e. don't appear - sub menu just remains 'empty'.

The problem is (I think) it all looks editable; but it isn't - that's where the confusion starts (or is it just me?)

HuhHuh?

Nope; that doesn't work either.
I have no idea whats going on ; I suspect it's a bug; hence all the confusion

I'm sorry. I'm not really understanding the problem.

Would you upload some screen shots?

You need to add 'My Menu 1' and 'My Menu 2' as buttons on the home screen. Then add the video add-ons to My Menu 1 & 2's sub menu.

So rather than starting of by renaming and empty slot, choose a slot and select 'Replace this menu with...', and then choose My Menu 1 from list to right.

Once this has been added (so that the button now shows 'My Menu 1'), go to its submenu and add the add-ons as you did before.

Now if you return to the home screen the icons will be showing above My Menu 1 like you wanted.

You my friend are a star!

Works exactly!!!

So that leaves just 2 questions!

1) I can only have 2 custom menu's then? i.e. my menu 1 & my menu 2 more would be VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY helpful! :-))))

2) What's the best way to allow viewing of suitable other add-ons when the menu is 'full'. What I mean is in confluence suppose you have 'kids menu' and list 5 shortcuts; you at least have the 'files' option too look for other add-ons. What's the equivalent (if it exists!) in MQ5.

Really appreciate your help and patience with a noob! :-)

Yes, just two 'custom' my menus. Although the favorites widget works in a similar way (it displays all your favorites as icons above that heading).

You can add the 'files' button to any submenu you like through the customisation menu. You can also add video add-ons, music add-ons.... pretty much anything you can think off.

Hey!

I'm probably still doing this wrong.
But whatever I add to favourites doesn't show up as icons; just named at the base (I was assuming I could use this like a 'custom' menu based on what you posted earlier).

I assume also there is no way to display say video-addons as icons when the 'file' choice is made? i.e. it's just a text list?

thanks-again!Big Grin

I haven't seen any info about this in the thread, but is there any way to have a "Reboot" option included in the system menu?

Great skin by the way!
