are there any benchmarks out there?

Hm.. found a commect that Amlogix MX has half the proccessing power of the Tegra 3 .....

if this is the case Ouya is going to be a very strong competitor of Pivos..

Ignoring processing power, the Pivos/Amlogic boxes are among a very few Android devices that can bitstream compressed surround audio. Good luck getting that from any Tegra3 device. HD-Audio bitstreaming is a no-go on any Android hardware as far as I know. The Ouya will probably be limited to stereo audio output without a full Linux distro.

so, let's clarify, what can tegra 3 bitstream? DTS and Dolby Digital yes, but not DTS-MA or True HD?

For me, as long as it can output 5.1 LPCM fine (without lag and so on), it's fine. I've always thought bitstreaming is overrated.

So will it support ntfs?

Looks like Ouya has hardware support for HDMI-CEC .. http://forums.ouya.tv/discussion/651/hdmi-cec-for-xbmc
The normal XBMC log IS NOT a debug log, to enable debug logging you must toggle it on under XBMC Settings - System or in advancedsettings.xml. Use XBMC Debug Log Addon to retrieve it.

Ou, ya! :-D

Let's hope CEC will be supported when mine arrives at the end of this month! but nevertheless it seems to be pretty good XBMC performance, thanks to devs!

Is there any option or hope that XBMC (or one of its versions like OE) could be directly flashed onto the Ouya? Truly create an XBMC appliance.

I believe that may be difficult since Nvidia has been stingy about giving access to the resources required.

Wow under Confulence it seems more responsive in the menus than my XBMC but I wonder how much of that would be the lag of my Harmony One.

Did you notice the pregnant pause when Aeon Nox entered that menu?
