Hi.

I'am swiss, so sorry for my english ;-)


I updatet from v11 to v12.
On v11 i had never problems watching movies from a NAS (MKV Files ripped from Blurays ripped with MakeMKV on Windows x64).
But now on v12 i can't watch the same movies because ist is verry laggi, maybee about 3-5 Frames per Second. Also, when this happens, i'am unable to stop the movie, because xbmc seems to hang.

My Hardware Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5 661
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H57M-USB3
RAM: 4GB DDR3
HDD: Crucial m4 SSD 128GB
OS: Windows 7 x86 SP1

Also, i made a fresh installation from windows with all the updates and newest drivers, but the problem is still there.

By the way: deactiviate Hardware accelation does not slove the problem.

I hope, some one can help me.

Might be you audio settings, do your mkv's have HD audio? Take a look at http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=146911

Also try putting a film on a USB stick to try playing locally to see if same thing happens just to eliminate it being networking problem.

It was indeed a audio problem!! It was the DTS-HD setting in the Audio settings.

Now i have even smoother playback as in the preverious version from xbmc.
