Hi there
Been looking around the forum and online and have struggled to find help with specific issues relating to MySQL setup on Mac.
My system details are as follows;
Mac OS X - 10.6.8
MySQL - 5.6.10
Sequel Pro - 1.0.1
Terminal - 2.1.2 (273.1)
My issues;
What's working?;
I followed the instructions from this following posts;

Step 4.2 is where i get stuck. Terminal doesn't create the my.cnf file. Also, what is the best default values to be used for the my.cnf file, taking security and speed into account?
Other than that the tutorial is pretty good. Anyone able to help?

- Can't bind-address
What's working?;
- MySQL is running, confirmed with preferences pane
- MySQL is running, confirmed by connecting to it via Sequel Pro
- MySQL User "XBMC" created, with correct privileges, confirmed in Sequel Pro
