I read somewhere that poster art for XBMC should be sized to like 680x1000, so I set that up for automatic re-sizing in Ember, and I always download the largest posters I can find in Ember, usually it will be like 1000x1500, and then I just have the program re-size it. But it seems like the sizing is different for Aeon Nox because in any given view the posters always seem to be getting cut off. Am I missing something as far as sizing these posters correctly? Thanks.

Nox is designed for 16:9 screens, if yours is not then it is expected for the icons to appear cut off.

are we talking screens or poster sizes? Cause I have a widescreen computer monitor. I'm confused.

aspect ratio should be 2:3, so 666:1000 would be correct.

keep the posters as 1000x1500 this is the correct aspect ratio

Ok, I have been making sure my poster art is in this size, but when viewing the posters in Aeon Nox skin, the posters are getting chopped off. It's like the frame size for the posters in that skin are more narrow than what I have my poster art set at. So the titles/pictures in the poster art are getting cut off.

Widescreen != 16:9. If your resolution is 16:10 the posters will be cut off. Only 16:9 resolutions are supported, ie 1920x1080 or 1280x720 as the most common resolutions. I would not recommend to run this skin at anything besides 1920x1080 though as some textures do not scale down well.

EDIT: Scratch that last remark, actually I can fix most scaling issues.

Which poster size is the best?

Because:

thetvdb.com use: 680x1000 ( => 1000x1470 or 1020x1500 )
themoviedb.org use: 1000x1500 ( => 680x1020 or 666x1000 )


which one prefer the aeon nox?I know it is automatically scaled...

I think 680x1000 is the best but phil65 says 2:3 666x1000(=1000x1500) however the wall viewtype use 680x1000 (scaled down)



I know this is a few pixels but some poster use left or right margin text/borders etc. what cuts off.
