VDR VNSI Error Message after Stop Recording
#1
Hi,

i get an error message after i stop a current recording, see screenshot. Seems a response packet will not be correctly handled. But, recording will be stopped.

Currently using FernetMenta's vnsi4 developer version, but in older versions this issue also exists.

Funktion cVNSIData::ReadResult() times out, but i have no idea why, vnsiserver seems to send the response message to the client.

Does this happen every time you stop an instant recording? I haven't tried this for quite a while.

Yes, it does. Yesterday xbmc freezes totally one time, only kill -HUP helped. But today only this error message appears. And i tested a lot ...

At least this is good news. I am away from my dev systems until next weekend. If you haven't found the issue until then, I'll take a look.

I can't reproduce this on my system. I started live tv on a channel, hit instant recording, waited a couple of seconds, and stopped recording by pushing recording button again. I could even stop live tv and start it again while recording was active. Then stopping recording did work as well.

Did you do anything different?

No, the issue occours if i was in FullLiveTvScreen pushing the record button in the OSD-menu and start/stop recording in the context menu.
But mysteriously, the issue has gone on my system. I have no explanation for this, i tried it many times last Sunday, it happens always. Today it does not happen. The only thing i did is reboot the machine one or two times (usually i never do this, i always use s2ram mode) and installed a new plugin (xmltv2vdr) to my vdr.
