Release Rai On Demand plugin
#46

Please write in English. Can you be more specific on what's not working? Are you using the latest version? A log file would be useful too. It seems to me everything is fine.

The diretta channels like rai1, rai2, rai premium, etc. are not working through xbmc? I configured my vpn perfectly and can view on my computer with regular internet explorer and firefox. Maybe it needs silverlight to work on xbmc? The streams wont start at all.

Live channel streams are fine if you are located in Italy. The addon uses Android streams and not silverlight streams because they are not supported by XBMC. The XBMC log can give you a hint at the problem you are having.

Try to open the following page in a browser:
http://www.rai.tv/dl/RaiTV/programmi/jso...n-V-0.html

I can and you can't but I don't know why. Please report the error you get. BTW, are you abroad?

Hi, when you get a chance, can you take a look at my log and see what's wrong? Its towards the bottom. It works fine with a web browser, but the xbmc add-on its a no go. I used it on my windows pc xbmc and even an jailbroken ipad with xbmc. It refuses to open the stream. I'm located in the USA, and I got the vpn to work perfectly and I can access all the rai's. I appreciate your time!

RAI on demand plugin uses Android streams because the ones used by a web browser are IIS Smooth Streams and XBMC doesn't support them. Therefore the fact you can watch these channels in a browser can't help.

I see from your log that XBMC doesn't get any data from Android streams. So I think the problem is in your VPN. You can double check this trying to open the following URL in VLC. You should not be able to do so.
http://mediapolis.rai.it/relinker/relink...&output=20

BTW you are using an alpha of XBMC 13. Please note that I can't yet support this version.

What you see is fine. I begin to think that there maybe some incompatibilites of my plugin with XBMC 11. But I have no way to test it under XBMC 11 right now. Can you update to XBMC 12?

I downgraded the windows version of xbmc to 12.0 and it works beautifully, you were right! It wasn't the vpn, it was definitely the alpha version of xbmc. Now the problem lies on my apple tv 2. I downgraded xbmc on my apple tv back to 12.0 and even 11 and it still wont play anything other then the rai news. Maybe its not compatible with ios? The same exact setup works on my windows xbmc, but not the apple tv. Any clues?

Yes I tried using http://mediapolis.rai.it/relinker/relink...&output=20 in VLC and it shows as RaiScola, works perfectly with the vpn. I noticed it says Android Stream on the link in VLC. I bet theres a conflict with ATV2 or ios.
